Description
The David M. Brooks Music Fund, administered by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, supports music education in New Hampshire’s public primary and secondary schools. Established through a bequest from David M. Brooks of Bedford, the permanent fund carries forward his interest in teaching light classical music and voice.
The fund supports musical instruction, equipment, programs, field trips, concerts and performances that benefit school music departments and music/voice programs. Performance support can include music licensing, professional assistance and show rights. Preference is given to activities reflecting Brooks’ passion for light classical music, including the waltzes of Johann Strauss, the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, symphonies and operettas.
