Description
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry Foundation (AAIDF) offers these grants to support student research discovering new and innovative ways to advance implant dentistry and translate findings into practice. The program honors Dr. David Steflik, whose investigations of tissue responses to implanted biomaterials contributed to breakthroughs in dental implantology.
The Foundation’s research program supports feasibility studies for larger projects, development and testing of new techniques and procedures, small clinical or animal research projects, and analysis of grant data. Student grants fund research rather than dental patient care or treatment. Recipients also have the opportunity to present completed project findings at the AAID Annual Conference, connecting their work with the implant dentistry community.
