Description
The Dedicated Grant Program, offered by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, consists of four Field of Interest Funds, each designed to address specific needs and support distinct communities within Washtenaw County, Michigan. The program aims to improve the quality of life for residents through targeted grantmaking focused on physical, economic, social, and educational well-being, community-building, and violence prevention. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations providing services within the county, with each fund supporting a unique area of impact:
- African American Endowment Fund: Enhances quality of life for African Americans in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, addressing physical, economic, social, and educational needs.
- Barden Family Fund for Enhancing Community: Supports organizations serving veterans and their families, promotes aviation education, advances Catholic ideals of service and social justice, and fosters community-building.
- Dexter Community Fund: Enriches life in the Dexter community by supporting seniors, youth, adults, the homebound, mental health services, outdoor recreation, and arts and culture.
