Description
The Delano Area Community Foundation is a Partner Fund of the Initiative Foundation supporting projects that strengthen the Delano area and respond to local needs and interests. Revitalized in 2014, the fund aims to build a lasting source of capital for community benefit. Its priorities are improving educational programming, promoting community development and appearance, enriching arts and culture, and expanding recreational activities.
A local volunteer advisory team leads the fund, combining community knowledge and leadership with the Initiative Foundation’s professional expertise, oversight and investment management. Past grants have supported school programming, theater seasons, sculpture festivals and walks, community music, holiday celebrations and senior center activities.
