Description
The Institute for Ethics and the Common Good (ECG) at the University of Notre Dame seeks up to five scholars for its 2027–28 DELTA Faculty Fellowship cohort. DELTA is a framework for examining powerful AI through dignity, embodiment, love, transcendence, and agency. The fellowship supports substantial research into how faith traditions can inform AI’s design, use, and governance, and how religious approaches to moral formation can deepen ethical discussions that often center on safety, privacy, and transparency.
Projects may draw on different faith perspectives, disciplines, and methods. Fellows pursue their research in an interdisciplinary community, share work through seminars and collaborative events, and develop ways to engage audiences beyond academia.
