Description
The Institute for Ethics and the Common Good at the University of Notre Dame supports tenured and tenure-track faculty in creating undergraduate courses that examine what AI and other emerging technologies mean for human flourishing. Its DELTA framework—dignity, embodiment, love, transcendence, and agency—offers a faith-based lens, while welcoming courses from varied disciplines and moral traditions.
A DELTA Signature Course is intended to be a formative milestone for students, prompting sustained reflection on meaning and purpose. Courses should also contribute to their institution’s goals and bring their ideas to audiences beyond the university. The program plans cohorts across the 2026–27, 2027–28, and 2028–29 academic years.
