The Denise L. Gold Project Grants are intended to support ASOR-affiliated archaeological projects, with a focus on emerging and smaller field projects or specific components of larger initiatives in the Mediterranean region. Established in 2017, this annual grant honors Denise L. Gold’s legacy in Mediterranean archaeology. Funds may be used for essential equipment, discrete research tasks, or off-season analysis, contributing to the advancement and success of affiliated projects. The program is particularly geared toward projects that have not recently received other ASOR project grants and prioritizes direct research needs.
