The DePaola Scholar fellowship supports an academic dental institution faculty member with demonstrated leadership potential to participate in the ADEA Leadership Institute. Established through a commitment from Colgate-Palmolive Co. to the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the fellowship honors Dr. Dominick P. DePaola’s contributions to dental education, research, patient care and academic administration.
The award provides tuition and fee support for leadership development rather than funding a separate research project. Its goal is to prepare the recipient for a leadership position in an academic dental institution. The ADEA Leadership Institute is a yearlong program for faculty and administrators preparing for future leadership in dental and higher education.
