Description
The American Physiological Society (APS) Dependent Support Travel Award provides a reimbursable allowance for dependent care expenses associated with attending the American Physiology Summit or other APS conferences. Rather than funding research directly, it helps primary caregivers participate in meetings by addressing additional care and travel costs.
Supported arrangements include a caregiver traveling to the meeting, a dependent traveling to a caregiver outside the home community, a caregiver traveling to the applicant’s home, or additional care hours at home. Applications are evaluated on demonstrated need for dependent care support. Priority is given to trainees and early-career scientists holding a rank no higher than assistant professor or an equivalent position in academia, government, industry, or medicine.
