Description
The Deployed Warfighter Protection (DWFP) Program funds original, innovative research to protect deployed military personnel from arthropod disease vectors, nuisance biting arthropods, and emerging threats such as the New World Screwworm fly. The U.S. Army Contracting Command solicits applications, and the DWFP Program at the Armed Forces Pest Management Board manages the announcement.
Projects must address at least one FY27 focus area: bite prevention, vector control, decision-support tools or software, vector surveillance and identification, or vector-pathogen diagnostics. Bite prevention and vector control receive the highest programmatic priority. The program seeks advanced technology and product-oriented development, including improved insecticides, personal protection, and pesticide-application equipment, with outcomes relevant to military and civilian users.
