Description
Mayo Clinic’s Dermatopathology Fellowship provides one year of subspecialty training in Rochester, Minnesota, through two tracks tailored to fellows’ prior training and career goals. Both tracks fulfill the dermatopathology subspecialty training requirements of the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology and follow ACGME training requirements.
The clinically based dermatology track combines dermatopathology with anatomic pathology subjects, including hematopathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, and molecular techniques. The laboratory-based pathology track combines dermatopathology with clinical dermatology. Both include four months devoted exclusively to dermatopathology, followed by eight months divided between dermatopathology and the complementary specialty. Fellows also receive training in molecular genetics, immunopathology, and laboratory management.
