Description
Destination Horizon Grants, administered by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), help researchers affiliated with eligible Canadian postsecondary institutions build capacity, foster existing partnerships, and further develop networks or consortia with researchers in the European Union and other Horizon Europe associated countries. The ultimate goal is to prepare for applications to Horizon Europe Pillar II calls for proposals.
The program supports disciplinary, interdisciplinary, scholarly and intersectoral exchanges, including collaboration with students and non-academic partners. Proposals are expected to respond to SSHRC’s Research Partnerships program objectives and may address any subject area eligible for SSHRC funding. These grants support partnership development rather than research itself or implementation of Horizon Europe projects.
