Due Dates: Rolling (apply at least 60 days before development activities when possible)
Funding Amounts: Up to $5,000 for artist-only support or $10,000 for team-based support; no match required

Key Information: Available once per Creation Fund project, within three years of the Creation Fund award, after completing the orientation call.
Description
The National Performance Network’s Development Fund is Phase II of its Creation & Development Fund. It provides additional, artist-driven resources for projects that have already received Creation Fund support, helping artists develop work for public engagement. Artists can seek support independently or through a team-based approach with a co-commissioner. The fund supports diverse development processes and aims to increase the quality and life of a work, strengthen cultural organizations’ capacity to develop work, and deepen relationships among artists, co-commissioners, and communities.
The broader Creation & Development Fund supports the creation, development, and mobility of new artistic work advancing racial and cultural justice through live experiential exchange between artists and communities. Development activities may take place before, during, or after a work’s premiere, with flexible guidelines designed around each project’s needs.
