Description
This Horizon Europe call funds collaborative research and development of monoclonal antibodies for the prevention and treatment of selected emerging or re-emerging viral infections, specifically targeting one of the following viruses: Ebola, Marburg, Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever, Rift Valley Fever, Enterovirus D68, or Chikungunya. Projects should advance existing monoclonal antibody candidates through in-vitro and in-vivo characterization, animal testing, evaluation of antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) risk, GMP batch production, and first-in-human clinical safety studies. The aim is to diversify and accelerate the global portfolio for antiviral preparedness and reinforce the EU’s leadership in this field. Engagement with regulatory bodies, leveraging of state-of-the-art research infrastructures, and participation from start-ups and SMEs are strongly encouraged.
