The American Neuromuscular Foundation (ANF) offers Development Research Grants as seed money to help promising new researchers launch studies of muscle and nerve disorders. Projects must directly relate to a specific disease covered by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). Research addressing quality issues is encouraged, and MD investigators conducting translational and clinical research are eligible within the program’s requirements.
The program combines research support with connections to the neuromuscular research community. Recipients receive complimentary AANEM membership and a subscription to Muscle & Nerve during their projects, plus meeting registration and travel support to present completed research findings at the AANEM Annual Meeting.
