Description
This initiative, jointly supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), funds International Research Training Groups (IRTGs) in the social sciences and humanities. The program aims to foster advanced, structured doctoral training and collaborative research between German and Canadian institutions. IRTGs are designed to promote systematic academic cooperation, facilitate reciprocal research visits, and provide doctoral researchers with dual supervision from both countries. The program emphasizes interdisciplinarity, knowledge exchange, and the development of high-quality, coherent research and training programs.
