Description
The American Antiquarian Society’s Diana Korzenik Virtual Research Fellowship supports individuals engaged in scholarly research and writing in any field of American history and culture through 1900, including doctoral dissertations. The virtual format is designed to reflect the onsite fellowship experience as closely as possible, connecting researchers with the Society’s collections, staff expertise, and fellow scholars.
During the three-month fellowship, fellows receive access to digitized collections, including both freely available and paywall-protected resources. A designated staff member connects fellows with materials via document camera as time allows and with readers’ services staff or curators who can advise and assist with research. Fellows participate in fellows’ talks via Zoom, and the Society facilitates interaction among virtual and onsite fellows.
