The Digital Health Sandbox Rolling Grant is administered by the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI), a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech). It supports digital health companies with a Massachusetts presence seeking to test, validate, and pilot new products or services with an organization in the Digital Health Sandbox Network. Grants subsidize the sandbox’s project costs and fees, helping companies access testing and validation resources.
The program supports product development while expanding the user base for Massachusetts sandbox environments. Reviewers consider project feasibility, the company or product’s uniqueness in the digital health market, and potential benefits for the company, Massachusetts’ innovation economy, patients, and health disparities. Preference goes to projects addressing health equity, cybersecurity and privacy, or publicly identified healthcare cost and access challenges.
