Description
The Mississippi Arts Commission offers the Dille Fund to help Mississippi museums, arts organizations, and cultural institutions strengthen their visual art collections through acquisitions. Established through a bequest from Avery B. Dille, Jr. in memory of his parents, the fund supports artistic excellence, public engagement with high-quality art, lifelong arts learning, and stronger communities through arts engagement.
Purchases must address the land or sea: landscapes and seascapes are eligible, but portraits and still lifes are not. Work by historical or contemporary artists may qualify, including contemporary installations, video, and sculpture addressing those subjects. Review considers both the artwork and its connection to the applicant’s mission and public programming.
