Description
The Colorado Energy Office (CEO), in partnership with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), funds large-scale fast-charging plazas to expand access to high-speed charging throughout Colorado. The program serves travelers needing quick, convenient charging and drivers without regular access to home or workplace charging. Funding comes from the federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program and Colorado’s Community Access Enterprise (CAE).
Projects should fill charging gaps while accounting for existing and planned stations and potential utilization. Funding is available statewide, including community locations and corridors outside federally designated Alternative Fuel Corridors. Enhanced incentives target priority communities and battery storage that can address grid limitations, reduce demand charges, expedite installation, or improve resilience.
