Summary: Supports outstanding early career non-clinician researchers to establish independent leadership in cardiovascular science with structured mentorship and resources.
This fellowship supports exceptional early career non-clinician researchers aiming to establish their own independent research leadership in cardiovascular science. The scheme is open to a broad range of disciplines—including bench-based science, epidemiology, data science, genetics, engineering, and behavioral science—as well as candidates transitioning from other fields or industry. Fellows are embedded in a UK-based host institution with support from senior academic advisors and mentors, and may spend part of their award at a secondary institution, including overseas, to enhance their research or training. The fellowship encourages interdisciplinary approaches and offers resources for research, training, travel, and caring responsibilities to nurture the next generation of leaders in cardiovascular research.
