Due Dates: Rolling (throughout the year; apply before the proposed activity)
Funding Amounts: Up to $1,000 per grant; up to $10,000 available annually; funds must be used within six months

Description
The Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation’s Discretionary Fund supports timely community needs that improve quality of life in Emmet County. It invests in the community in much the same way as the foundation’s regular responsive grant cycles, but with smaller grants and a quicker turnaround. The fund prioritizes unexpected or emergency needs and needs that cannot wait for the regular grant schedule.
The program serves eligible nonprofits, educational institutions, and municipalities located in Emmet County or serving a significant number of its residents. Requests should explain why support is needed now and how the proposed work advances the foundation’s mission to improve quality of life for all people in Emmet County.
