Discretionary Grants from the Dayton Foundation are designed to help not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Dayton region launch new projects or support special initiatives that address emerging or unique community needs. These grants are awarded competitively three times a year, with funding drawn from donor-advised resources that have minimal restrictions. The Foundation’s volunteer Grants Committee and Governing Board allocate funds to projects with the potential for significant community impact, focusing on timely, innovative, or pressing needs.
