The Distinguished Scholar Fellowship provides up to eight senior faculty members, experienced professionals, or accomplished artists/writers the opportunity to spend four months at an accredited Israeli institution of higher education during the 2027–28 academic year. Fellows may pursue research, teaching, or a combination of both, with projects either self-designed or designated by the host institution. The program supports all academic disciplines and aims to foster academic exchange and collaboration between the U.S. and Israel. Fellows are expected to engage in mentoring, curriculum development, and community activities, contributing to the broader mission of the Fulbright Program to promote international understanding.
