This prestigious award enables a senior U.S. academic in the humanities or social sciences to spend a semester or academic year at the American Studies Center (ASC), University of Warsaw, Poland. The scholar will teach one graduate research proseminar and one undergraduate elective per semester (each a weekly 90-minute session for 15 weeks), give public lectures, advise graduate students, and participate in the intellectual life of the Center. The ASC is one of the largest and most interdisciplinary American Studies departments in Europe, with a vibrant research environment and strong connections to European and American studies associations.
The Fulbright Distinguished Scholar program aims to advance academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding between the U.S. and Poland. All teaching is conducted in English.
