Description
The Distinguished Visiting Artist Appointments, offered by the MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST), provide accomplished artists with the opportunity to engage in extended residencies at MIT. These appointments are designed to deepen collaborations between artists and MIT faculty, departments, labs, or centers, enabling sustained research, creative project development, and meaningful engagement with the MIT community. The program aims to foster innovative work at the intersection of art, science, and technology, with a particular emphasis on projects that may be difficult to fund through traditional sources, and those that advance racial and social justice or amplify BIPOC voices.
