These grants are dedicated to fostering equity and inclusion across Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau Counties, as well as the sovereign nation of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians in Michigan. The program prioritizes organizations led by or serving people of color (including Black and Indigenous communities), LGBTQ+, immigrant, neurodiverse, veteran, and/or disability community members. Funding is available for general operating support, events that raise awareness and provide education, efforts that increase the effectiveness and visibility of underrepresented groups, programs promoting equity and inclusion, and diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings or learning opportunities. The grantmaking process is guided by a diverse advisory committee to ensure community-centered decision making.
