Description
The American Psychological Foundation (APF) and APA Division 18, Psychologists in Public Service, sponsor this grant to support professional development and service by Division 18 members. Funded work must contribute to the science and practice of public service psychology. The program accepts psychologists with doctoral degrees at any career stage, as well as students currently enrolled in doctoral-level psychology programs.
Past awards illustrate a range of research and educational projects, including work on alcohol-involved sexual victimization, undergraduate research education, and the psychological impacts of failure-to-protect laws on survivors of intimate partner violence. Awardees must share their work with Division 18 through a webinar, a convention or professional meeting presentation, or a newsletter article.
