The Society for Environmental, Population, and Conservation Psychology (SEPCP), Division 34 of the American Psychological Association, runs this grant-in-aid program to improve equity and expand access to research opportunities. It supports research on topics of core interest to the society by scholars with limited access to institutional funding, research assistant support, or grant-writing resources.
The program targets doctoral students at the dissertation stage and researchers within ten years of receiving their doctoral degree. Funds can support participant compensation, research supplies and software, research-site travel, and research assistants. The program especially favors applied research developed with nonprofit, community, or government partners, new collaborations between separate research laboratories, projects led by PhD students and junior scholars, and proposals from participants in SEPCP’s learning circles initiative.
