Description
The Native Artist Fellowships, administered by the Indian Arts Research Center (IARC) at the School for Advanced Research, provide three annual fellowships for established and emerging Native American artists. The program offers a $15,000 stipend, housing, studio space, a supplies allowance, and travel reimbursement. Artists have dedicated time and resources to explore new creative directions, develop new ideas, and strengthen their artistic talents. The fellowships support a wide range of artistic disciplines, including sculpture, performance, basketry, painting, printmaking, digital art, mixed media, photography, pottery, writing, and film/video. Each fellowship has its own specific criteria, but all aim to foster innovation and cultural preservation in Native arts.
