Description
The Doctoral Clinical Fellowships from Alzheimer's Research UK are designed to support clinically qualified healthcare professionals in the UK who have limited research experience and do not yet hold a PhD. The fellowship provides comprehensive funding to enable these individuals to pursue a higher research degree (typically a PhD), equipping them with the skills, experience, and track record necessary for more senior academic roles in dementia research.
The program supports a broad range of research projects aligned with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s strategy, including basic, translational, and clinical research focused on the treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of dementia. A distinctive feature is the optional Clinical Trial Placement Pilot Programme, which offers hands-on experience in dementia clinical trials through collaboration with the UK Dementia Trials Network.
