Description
Alzheimer's Research UK's Doctoral Clinical Fellowships are designed to support registered healthcare professionals in the UK who have limited research experience and do not yet hold a PhD. The fellowship aims to provide these clinicians with the opportunity to pursue a higher research degree (typically a PhD), helping them build the research skills, experience, and track record required for advanced research careers in dementia. Projects must align with Alzheimer's Research UK's strategic priorities, focusing on the treatment, diagnosis, or prevention of dementia.
A unique feature of this scheme is the optional clinical trial placement, offered in partnership with the UK Dementia Trials Network. This placement provides hands-on experience in clinical trial design, delivery, and management, helping to develop future leaders in dementia clinical trials.
