    Description

The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research supports doctoral candidates undertaking applied dissertation fieldwork in Ras Al Khaimah or the wider United Arab Emirates. The program encourages innovative, policy-relevant research across eligible disciplines, with preference for education, public policy, and closely related fields. Only two Doctoral Research Grants are available each year.

The grants aim to benefit the Ras Al Khaimah community, strengthen regional research capacity, and support the emirate’s social and economic development. They also foster collaboration between international universities and UAE institutions, build a community of scholars, and encourage cross-cultural exchange. Recipients are expected to communicate practical findings and recommendations to expert and public audiences through reports, policy publications, presentations, and engagement with the Foundation’s research community.
