Description
The Donald O. Henry Fellowship, administered by the American Center of Research (ACOR), supports a field project, publication, or related event contributing to archaeological research in or about Jordan. It gives preference to archaeological efforts related to prehistory and/or work in southern Jordan, while welcoming proposals involving all periods and locations. The most compelling proposal receives the award.
Established in 2024, the fellowship honors Donald O. Henry, professor emeritus of anthropology at the University of Tulsa, who conducted research and led field schools in southern Jordan for more than four decades. His work at the Neolithic site of Ayn Abu Nukhayla continues to shape study of the era and region.
