Description
The Donna Nigh Foundation, through the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, provides one-time assistance for adaptive equipment that helps Oklahomans with severe to profound developmental disabilities become as self-sufficient as possible. Support addresses individual needs that are unmet by government or private sources, with financial need documented as part of eligibility.
Supported uses include aids for daily living, mobility seating and positioning equipment, classroom learning, cognition and developmental equipment, and environmental adaptations. The foundation has supported adaptive equipment for individuals in private residences, group homes and schools. Funding is limited, and applications are evaluated according to where a grant can have the most impact.
