Description
Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation (NCCF) manages donor-advised funds established to support the charitable interests of individual donors. Rather than following a single program focus, these funds reflect their fundholders’ particular interests and wishes. They connect donor-directed resources with nonprofit and community support in the area.
Some funds were established through bequests to provide continuing support for area nonprofits in perpetuity. Others respond to community needs as they arise, at the recommendation of an anonymous fundholder. NCCF administers these funds according to fundholder wishes, with distributions made at the donor’s discretion. Access to an application is by invitation rather than through unsolicited proposals.
