Description
The Alabama Power Foundation’s Dorothy Crosby Legacy Award supports exemplary service to clients through elderly care, energy assistance, education, or health and human services. The grant offers support to nonprofit organizations and community action agencies addressing energy assistance and community needs.
The award honors Dorothy Crosby, a longtime chair of the ABC Trust board of directors who spent much of her life helping others. As an energy services coordinator at a local community action agency, she supported families in need in Jefferson County. Established following her death in 2021, the award connects her commitment to helping families with organizations’ ongoing work to meet community needs.
