Description
This funding opportunity, administered by the Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) under the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), supports innovative breast cancer research projects with the potential for significant impact. The Breakthrough Award Levels 1 and 2 mechanism is designed to fund research that addresses at least one of the Breast Cancer Research Program’s (BCRP) overarching challenges, with the goal of accelerating progress toward ending breast cancer. Projects may be led by a single Principal Investigator (PI) or by two partnering PIs (Initiating and Partnering PI Option, PPIO). Funding Level 2 also includes a Population Science Studies option for research with a focus on human data and biospecimens.
