Description
This opportunity supports research that extends the data collection, follow-up, and analysis of breast cancer clinical studies. The goal is to increase the clinically relevant impact of patient participation by addressing knowledge gaps from early trial termination, limited follow-up, or suboptimal sample/data collection and analysis. Projects must address at least one of the Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP) overarching challenges or provide strong justification for exceptions. The mechanism allows for either a single Principal Investigator (PI) or two partnering PIs (Initiating PI and Partnering PI).
Distinctive requirements include the mandatory inclusion of at least two breast cancer consumer advocates on the research team. The Partnering PI Option requires both PIs to submit full applications; failure to do so may result in administrative withdrawal.
