Description
Administered by SIR Foundation, this grant supports interventional radiology faculty early in their academic careers by providing time to conduct research. Projects should advance the science of interventional radiology, with the goal that recipients subsequently obtain funding from other peer-reviewed sources, such as the National Institutes of Health. The program is intended for full-time faculty with dedicated research time who have not yet become recognized independent investigators or received major grant support.
Potential research topics include intravascular imaging in chronic limb ischemia, ultrasound identification of arteriovenous lesions, SVC stenting in oncology, interventions for superficial vein disease, spine interventions for pain, and adenomyosis treatment outcomes or imaging classification. These examples are not exhaustive. The program supports SIR Foundation’s broader mission to develop skilled investigators and innovative therapies that improve patient care and quality of life.
