Description
This travel award, established in memory of Dr. Jack H. Wilmore, assists doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows with travel expenses to present their research at the ACSM Annual Meeting. The research must be aligned with or influenced by Dr. Wilmore’s extensive body of work in sports medicine and exercise science. Each year, two awards are given: one for a basic science presentation and one for an applied science presentation. The award honors Dr. Wilmore’s legacy as a prolific researcher, leader, and mentor within ACSM and the broader sports medicine community.
