Description
This annual travel award, established in memory of Dr. Priscilla M. Clarkson—the 44th president of ACSM—supports undergraduate students by offsetting travel costs to present their research at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting. The award emphasizes scientific quality and prioritizes research in areas important to Dr. Clarkson, such as exercise-induced muscle damage, soreness, adaptation, sport nutrition, dietary supplements, performance-enhancing drugs, dance, and exercise and cancer. The program aims to honor Dr. Clarkson’s legacy of mentoring and advancing undergraduate education by enabling students to share impactful research at a national forum.
