Established in memory of Dr. Priscilla M. Clarkson, the 44th president of ACSM, this award provides travel support for undergraduate students to present their research at the ACSM Annual Meeting. The primary selection criterion is scientific quality, with additional priority given to human-based research on topics significant to Dr. Clarkson, such as exercise-induced muscle damage, soreness, adaptation, sport nutrition, dietary supplements, performance enhancing drugs, dance, and exercise and cancer. The award honors Dr. Clarkson’s legacy of mentorship and pioneering research in muscle biology.
