Description
This in-person program at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity provides a transformative environment for participants to engage in open dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative problem-solving on child welfare jurisdiction, with a strong foundation in Indigenous cultural practices. Through storytelling, interactive workshops, presentations, and group discussions guided by an Elder, participants explore both traditional and contemporary approaches to child welfare, envision new possibilities, understand the current landscape, and build practical skills for community change. The program is designed for those working towards the well-being of Indigenous children and families, with an emphasis on community engagement, spiritual wisdom, and Indigenous-led planning.
