The Greater Columbus Arts Council, in partnership with the State of Saxony/Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen, offers a long-standing Artist Exchange Program between Columbus, Ohio, and its sister city Dresden, Germany. Each year, two Columbus-based artists are selected to spend 60–90 days in Dresden, where they are provided with living and studio space, a daily stipend, and roundtrip airfare. This independent residency is designed to support artistic growth, cultural exchange, and the creation of new work. Participants are expected to serve as ambassadors for Columbus, engaging with the local arts community in Dresden while pursuing their own research and creative projects.
