Drinking Water Fluoridation supports New York municipalities with engineering reports and fluoridation equipment projects to maintain or expand access to optimally fluoridated community water.

Key Information: Applicants must own both the public water system and its water supply.
Description
The New York State Department of Health’s Bureau of Child Health offers this funding to maintain and expand New Yorkers’ access to optimally fluoridated water. Component A supports engineering reports that assess the feasibility of starting community water fluoridation or plan a new or upgraded system. Component B supports the purchase, installation, repair, replacement, or upgrade of fluoridation equipment, as well as related building work.
The two components serve different stages of a municipal project. A municipality that needs both may complete a Component A engineering report before applying separately for Component B implementation funding.
