Description
The Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund (DWSRLF) provides low-cost financing and principal forgiveness for the construction, improvement, and planning of drinking water facilities across New Mexico. Administered jointly by the New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) and the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED), the program aims to safeguard public health by supporting projects that bring water systems into compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, address urgent infrastructure needs, and ensure affordable access to safe drinking water. Eligible activities include new or replacement water sources, treatment systems, transmission and distribution lines, storage, SCADA systems, regionalization, and related planning or land acquisition. The fund also offers technical, managerial, and financial support to help systems achieve and maintain compliance.
