The Drinkwater Leadership Award in Women’s Health, Sport & Physical Activity honors mid-career professionals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in advancing women’s health, sport, and physical activity. Named after Dr. Barbara L. Drinkwater, a trailblazer in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), this award celebrates individuals whose research, clinical care, or advocacy has significantly impacted women’s participation and well-being in these fields. The award is supported by the Women’s Health, Sport & Physical Activity Fund and seeks to recognize both traditional and nontraditional leaders who reflect Dr. Drinkwater’s passion for women’s sport and health.
