Description
The E-Cargo Bike Grant Program supports the development and implementation of electric cargo bike deployment projects in communities across Colorado. The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) administers the program in partnership with the Community Access Enterprise, which provides the funding. The program aims to shift short- and medium-length vehicle trips to e-cargo bikes, maximize air quality benefits, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and pilot innovative delivery solutions.
Supported projects replace commercial delivery vehicles or fleet vehicles through commercial deliveries, public shared e-cargo bike programs, gig economy delivery services, or business fleets carrying equipment and tools. Uses can include parcel and grocery delivery, retail logistics, public rental hubs and bike libraries, maintenance work, law enforcement patrol, and compost collection.
