    Description

The European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) Fellowship provides a two-month immersive training experience in minimally invasive surgery at major centres across Europe. It supports surgeons seeking to deepen their expertise through the clinical, educational, and research activities of a host institution, while developing surgical skills and expanding professional networks.

Host specialties include colorectal, upper gastrointestinal, hepatopancreatobiliary, bariatric, robotic, and other minimally invasive surgery. The experience depends on the allocated centre: some placements offer operative assistance or surgical participation, while others are observerships. The host institution facilities guide details each centre’s specialties, clinical privileges, research opportunities, insurance provision, accommodation, and special requirements.
