    Description

Research Sandpit is an initiative of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) Research Committee, designed for young members at the start of their research careers. It builds skills across the medical research process, from formulating questions and conducting experiments to analysing data and disseminating findings. The programme aims to strengthen technical abilities, collaborative problem-solving, critical thinking and innovative project design, helping participants turn ideas into high-quality research that advances patient care and medical science.

Participants attend lectures and work in small groups with Research Committee facilitators to develop proposals for an EAES Research panel. One project receives funding and mentorship over the following year, supporting both research training and project delivery.
