The Elsevier Research Scholarship is presented by the European Association of Organic Geochemists (EAOG) and sponsored by Elsevier and the journal Organic Geochemistry. Awarded annually, normally to two early-career scientists, it supports periods of research in organic geochemistry for researchers at master’s, PhD, or recently qualified postdoctoral level.
The scholarship aims to encourage the exchange of ideas, expertise, and techniques while cultivating scientific dialogue that advances research. Supported work may take place at the applicant’s home institution, another university, or a commercial or industry laboratory. Unlike the EAOG Travel Scholarship, this award is not exclusively intended for laboratory exchange students, allowing early-career scientists to pursue research within their existing institutional setting.
